HSE - Alcohol and Cancer - Reducing the risk
‘The HSE Health and Wellbeing Alcohol Programme is hosting a Webinar ‘Alcohol and Cancer – Reducing the Risk’.
The webinar is in conjunction with Mouth Head and Neck cancer Awareness Ireland (MHNCAI) to support Mouth Cancer Awareness Day 2021 (MCAD).

The serious impact of cancer on the lives of thousands of people in Ireland means we must identify opportunities to prevent this disease. We can improve cancer outcomes by increasing awareness of the relationship between alcohol and cancer. Alcohol causes seven types of cancer, including breast, liver, bowel, mouth, head and neck cancer. This webinar aims to promote awareness about how alcohol increases the risk of cancer, and how this risk can be reduced. There is a particular focus on mouth, head and neck cancers.
