Launch of Men’s Attitudes Now (MAN) Survey Findings
Brent Pope to launch Final Report on Friday, 18th November

Taking place on the eve of International Men’s Day 2022, this online event will mark the launch of the final report from the Men’s Attitudes Now (MAN) survey conducted by Men’s Development Network.

The survey, which ran from May to October this year, sought to understand men’s concepts of masculinity and gender. It has gathered insights into how men feel about themselves and their role in society in relation to topics which included their wellbeing, their health, their attitudes about relationships and their reflections on social topics.

Since its establishment 25 years ago, MDN, a national NGO based in Waterford, has been to the fore in advocating for the creation of a gender-equal society through transforming masculinities. Operating a range of programmes, the organisation works through a strengths-based, community development model to create better lives for men and boys, their families, friends, and communities across Ireland.
Following introductions from supporting partners in the HSE, Equimundo, Tusla, the Department of Health and the Department of Justice, the report will be formally launched by broadcaster, author and mental health advocate, Brent Pope.

Following this there will be a panel discussion hosted by Lorcan Brennan of MDN which will feature report authors Dr Kenny Doyle and Conor Hammersley alongside Dr Caroline Munye of Akidwa and Carmel Donnelly from the Irish Probation Service.
